²⁸ “And ^(A)wanting to ascertain the charge for which they were accusing him, I ^(B)brought him down to their ^[a](C)Council; ²⁹ and I found him to be accused over ^(D)questions about their Law, but ^[b]under ^(E)no accusation deserving death or ^[c]imprisonment.

³⁰ “When I was ^(F)informed that there would be ^(G)a plot against the man, I sent him to you at once, also instructing ^(H)his accusers to ^[d]bring charges against him before you.”
